Adding to the competitive mobile esports ecosystem in Asia with competitors like MLBB and Free Fire, Riot Games has brought back Wild Rift League Asia (WRL-A) for a second season after a successful maiden season earlier this year.

Twenty teams will clash again in Wild Rift League Asia 2023 Season 2 across the China and APAC Conference, beginning November 1 and the Grand Finals on January 28. KeepBest Gaming claimed the crown in the inaugural season; will they be able to maintain their title? Only time will tell.

Wild Rift League Asia S2: Format

The second season of Wild Rift League Asia will be a wild ride, split into three stages. The WRL Asia Season 2 prize pool is ¥7,000,000 CNY, equivalent to 973,330 USD.

Regular Season (November 2 - December 24)

  • 20 teams play in a geographical rule
  • All matches are played Bo3 in a single round-robin stage against teams in the same regional league.
  • The top eight teams from the CN conference and the top four from the Asia-Pacific conference progress to the Playoffs.

Playoffs (January 1 - 14)

  • Teams play in a double-elimination within their conference.
  • In CN, four start in the Upper Bracket, and four start in the Lower Bracket.
  • In APAC, all teams start in the Upper Bracket.
  • All matches are Bo7.
  • The top two teams from each conference qualify for the Finals.
