Valorant Champions Tour 2024 is just around the corner, with special kickoff tournaments for the four regional leagues: Americas, EMEA, Pacific, and China.

The VCT Americas Kickoff tournament will start things off with a bang, beginning on February 16 and hosted at the Riot Games Arena, LA. There will be ten returning teams, and one notable contender that has ascended from Ascension in December 2023 will be competing. While there's no prize pool on the line for VCT Americas Kickoff 2024, it will be an exciting year for Valorant esports in the Americas region.

VCT Americas Kickoff 2024: Format

Group Stage

• There will be three double-elimination format groups consisting of four teams, except Group C, the smallest group, consisting of three teams.
• All matches are Bo3.
• The top team from each group advances to the Playoff Stage, while the second-place teams advance to the Play-In Stage.
• The remaining teams are eliminated.

Play-In Stage

• There will be a single-round-robin format between the three teams.
• All matches are Bo3.
• The winning team advances to the Playoff Stage.

Playoffs

• Four teams compete in a single-elimination bracket.
• Semifinals are Bo3, while the Grand Final is Bo5.
• The top two teams get automatic qualifications to VCT Masters Madrid, which is held in April.

VCT Americas Kickoff 2024: Teams

Eyes are turning towards the teams and player line-ups competing in the VCT Americas Kickoff 2024. With a fresh format, a new year, and eleven teams competing for those scarce three Championship Points, there's no telling what will happen in this year's Valorant Champions Tour! Will LOUD and Evil Geniuses maintain their dominance in 2024? Only time will tell.

In the offseason, we've seen plenty of roaster changes and musical chairs, including Evil Geniuses' previous Assistant Coach "Zikz" now joining 100Thieves as their head coach, alongside previous EG player "Boostio." G2 Esports also join the VCT Americas league after winning the VCT Ascension tournament in December.

VCT Americas Kickoff 2024: Schedule

VCT Americas Kickoff 2024 begins on February 16 and ends on March 6, just before VCT Masters Madrid begins. The matches in the Group Stage will initially take place across weekends, with games on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Before we go into the schedule for VCT Americas Kickoff, here is how the three groups are divided in the initial double-elimination bracket Group Stage.
