Released in 2020, Pokemon Unite now has a growing roster of 54 heroes and counting, with new ones released constantly. Never fear! Rivalry has got you covered with this handy tier list guide for each class and character in Pokemon Unite. Please remember that this list is not concrete and does not mean you should avoid any Pokemon in the "Meh-Tier." You can use some of these Pokemon to counter the enemy team - it all depends on the opposing Pokemon, their choices, and your skill level. GL HF in your games, and let's jump into our Pokemon Unite tier list!
Like more popular MOBAs like League of Legends or DOTA 2, there are often several classes that characters are split into, with different roles to play in the battle ahead. Pokemon Unite is no different, and avid MOBA players will recognize traditional functions like Support or Defenders alongside slightly different roles like Speedsters, Attackers, and All-Rounders.
Pokemon Unite launched with a small roster; there are now over 50 playable Pokémon for players to get their hands on, with Leafeon being the newest addition. Players can unlock Pokemon through Pokemon Unite Licenses, which can be purchased with Aeos Coins or Aeos Gems, the latter of which is bought with real-life money.
Here is a full list of all characters in Pokemon Unite, divided into their respective classes.

As their name suggests, All-Rounder Pokemon have balanced Offensive and Endurance stats and are capable of holding their own in a team fight. All-Rounders are the perfect choice for players unsure of the current meta and are always a solid pick and welcome addition to any team.
Scizor is one of the best Pokemon in the All-Rounders due to being a two-in-one deadly combo if players stay as Scyther. Zacian is also a fatal All Rounder Pokémon to encounter on the battlefield, with a combination of speed, durability, and brute strength.
Dragonite offers high-burst damage as the only ranged All-Rounder Pokemon in the game, and has a semi-global presence due to its Unite Move, Draco Impact, which allows it to traverse the map and help in team fights.
Attackers are Pokemon that excel at aggressive roles and dealing damage; they typically reside in Top or Bottom Lane. Their job is to deal massive damage to the opposing team. Each Attacker Pokemon has different mechanics and playstyles for players to master, making them slightly harder to learn.
Greninja focuses on Attack and Movement speed. Its Unite Move, Waterburst Shuriken, deals area-of-effect damage that slows enemy movement speed which can disrupt the entire enemy team, making it one of the best Pokemon in the Attacker class.
Despite being the iconic Pokemon mascot, Pikachu only ranks in the A-tier. While they can dish out decent crowd-control moves with stuns, Pikachu lacks damage compared to Mew or Glaceon.
Delphox has a weak early game and therefore ranks lower on this list and requires players to master its abilities before taking them into a Pokemon Unite ranked game. Once learned, though, Delphox works excellently in team fights and has a late-game power spike.
Like the Tanks in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Defenders excel at protecting their allies, soaking up any incoming damage, and dishing out crowd control abilities. As such, they have high Endurance and can be a menace on the battlefield for the enemy team when played correctly.
Slowbro is undoubtedly one of the best Defender Pokemon in the game and works best in the Top and Bottom lane. Through the use of its passive ability, Oblivious, Slowbro can store its lost HP and then recover it by attacking the opposing team.
Snorlax is a highly durable Pokemon, precisely what you should look for in a Defender. He has high Defenses and a vast HP pool, making him an unstoppable blockade amid battle. Heavy Slam, Block, and Yawn are all extraordinary crowd control abilities to be utilized.
Speedsters are Pokemon with (obviously) high-Speed stats and incredibly hard-hitting burst damage. They are essentially their team's assassins, able to dart in and out and disrupt the enemy team's forces. They lack overall Endurance and Heath, making them easy targets when caught out of position. They are most suited to Jungle, so they quickly get to any lanes that may be struggling.
Leafeon is the newest addition to the roster, with dash moves that make it highly mobile during team fights. Its passive abilities, Chlorophyll and Run Away, both further increase Leafeon's movement speed.
Zoroak is the quintessential perfect Speedster, the double threat of high movement speed and serious damage. The Illusion ability allows players to bamboozle their opponents, leaving them vulnerable to attacks. However, the high-combo gameplay may be confusing for newer players.
Support Pokemon are the backbone of any team, by assisting their teammates through buffs and healing. They can also cause debuffs, crowd control, and disruptions on the opposing team. Supporters work best with other teammates in Bottom Lane to complete tasks and claim objectives.
Blissey is by far the most flexible Support Pokemon, able to cater to any team's playstyle, preventing and cleansing debuffs and boosting your damage. Blissey can heal and tank way better than any other Pokemon in the game! If playing this Fairy Pokemon, stick closely with your allies to maximize Blissey's abilities.
Keeping in line with its anime and in-game lore, Mr Mime is great at creating barriers to push back or divide the opposing team and disrupt their push. While Mr Mime is not a Support in a true sense and cannot heal allies, this Pokemon can change the Defence and Sp. Defence of both friends and foes!
Remember that, like most online competitive games, the meta for Pokemon Unite is fluid and constantly changes. There are no definitive rules on what Pokemon can and cannot be played and no outright best character in the game, so take this Pokémon Unite tier list with a grain of salt.
In the right hands, some "meh" tier Pokemon can perform great within specific team compositions or based on your personal skills, experience, and team matchups!
