Moonton's popular MOBA, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, is beginning to rival League of Legends in terms of its exploding esports scene and colorful, ever-growing cast, as each hero is complete with their unique skills, lore, and gameplay mechanics.
New ML hero Zhuxin, the Beacon of Spirits, will officially arrive in the Land of Dawn on June 29 as the second new addition of 2024. As the milestone 125th character to be released, she has since been available to play on the Mobile Legends Advanced Server so players can test her out before her official release.
Here's everything we know so far about Zhuxin, including her release date, abilities, and other bonus information.
Upcoming Mobile Legends hero Zhuxin, the Beacon of Spirits, has been confirmed by Moonton to have a set release date of June 29, 2024. She will cost 599 Diamonds or 32,000 Battle Points like all new heroes. Check out our guide for earning free diamonds if you want a headstart on saving.
Players should remember that Zhuxin is still undergoing testing on the MLBB Advanced Server, so her abilities and base stats may still receive adjustments before she goes live.
Zhuxin is designed to be a Mage first and foremost, meaning her home lane is Mid. Her specialty involves dealing magic damage with her Lantern and ember butterflies to turn the tide of battle in her favor.
Here are Zhuxin's confirmed abilities in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
Whenever Zhuxin channels Lantern Flare, the Mana spent is converted into up to 30 Crimson Butterflies to follow her Spirit Lantern. When Lantern Flare is no longer being channeled, the Crimson Butterflies gradually disappear, restoring 3% of her Max Mana.
Zhuxin deals 250 - 350 (+50% Total Magic Power) AoE Magic Damage to all nearby enemies in a fan-shaped area. This applies one stack of Soul Snare. Zhuxin also slows all enemy heroes hit by 20% and gains 20% extra Movement Speed for 1.5 seconds.
Hold Ability: Zhuxin consumes Mana while the Spirit Lantern can be moved with the skill button. 40 - 120 (+30% Total Magic Power) dealing Magic Damage (20% damage to Minions) to all enemies within range every 0.25 seconds, applying Soul Snare to enemies hit. When an enemy hero has full stacks of Soul Snare, the Crimson Butterflies will capture them with crowd control, pulling them airborne for one second.
Ability Release: Throws all captured enemies to the target location, dealing 180 - 430 (+100% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage to all enemies within the area.
Zhuxin blinks in a target direction, gaining a 400 - 700 (+100% Total Magic Power) shield. While flying, she creates a field around her for six seconds, dealing 60 - 90 (+20% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage. This also applies one stack of Soul Snare to enemies every second they are stood inside the field.
The new hero, Zhuxin, is a Mage who relies heavily on her Mana resource. While she has a naturally high Max Mana, it doesn't naturally scale with her levels, so she must find ways of farming it back up. Luckily, her Passive, Crimson Butterflies, can restore a certain percentage of her Mana after channeling Lantern Flare. This means she has a helpful degree of self-sustain to make her stay in lane and pressure her opponents more.
As a Mage, Zhuxin's basic attacks are ranged, meaning she is better off remaining in her team's backline and dealing damage from a safe distance. Her Ultimate lets her teleport a certain distance to get up close and personal if necessary.
Zhuxin can bend enemy heroes to her will, making them mere puppets as she uses her Lantern Flare to toss enemies around the battlefield. As such, Zhuxin can use this CC to her advantage and use environmental factors to help get kills. For example, if she is being ganked while under the safety of her turret, she can channel Lantern Flare and release it to grab and throw enemies under the relentless turret fire to secure extra kills. Lantern Flare also has a relatively short cooldown and should be the priority skill to maximize first.
Zhuxin's Ultimate, Crimson Beacon, can be used either offensively as a combat engage method or defensive to escape an enemy onslaught. Due to her sheer damage output and the complexity of her abilities, like aiming Lantern Flare, it's doubtful that Zhuxin will be a good beginner hero for new players.
With the right battle spells, items, unique abilities, and basic attacks, Zhuxin is shaping up to be a strong and talented Mage to shake up the meta. One thing is for certain: her butterflies aren't gentle with her devastating damage potential. Stay tuned for further updates as we approach Zhuxin's official release date on Mobile Legends servers.
