Changing things up, Riot Games has switched up the ranked season for 2024. Rather than doing the "single competitive season" per year format, they've employed previously, there will now be three splits per season instead.
This change aims to accommodate both new and returning players so they don't feel too out of touch with the ever-changing competitive environment of League of Legends ranked play.
This new change also gives a rough start date for Season 15, likely the end of January or even the start of February.
That was Riot Games' official LoL patch schedule for 2024 and Season 14. Remember that before any patch goes live on official servers, you can test the upcoming new features on the Public Beta Environment (PBE), including new skins and balance changes. Through the PBE, the Riot Games balance team can work out any kinks before making them go live.
