The Brazilian squad couldn't pass muster as they went out with back-to-back losses against Gambit and Nigma in the WePlay! Bukovel minor. Geek Fam and Royal Never Give Up secured comfortable wins in Group A while Fighting PandaS upset the TI9 runners-up in the Group B opening match.

The South American qualifiers couldn't quite crack the bracket in Bukovel, crashing out from the WePlay! Bukovel Minor without picking up a single game win along the way. With a 22- and a 23-minute loss on the board, it's back to the drawing board for the Brazilians.

Many expressed concerns about the combination of an open qualifier system and a GSL group stage, and Furia was very much the victim of this scenario here, playing just two series in this DPC cycle, one against the runners-up of the previous TI.

That said, Nigma hasn't exactly impressed observers so far either, with shaky performances during the qualifiers and the opening day (not to mention their drop to the lower bracket), and it will be interesting to see whether KuroKy and co. will bounce back later in the event the same way they did on the big stage at TI9.

In Group A, NiP's usual plans to qualify through the Minor were put in jeopardy by Geek Fam, and RNG comfortably triumphed over Team Spirit in a quickfire series consisting of a 23- and a 17-minute match.
