Need to know a bit more first before betting on Dreamleague? Here's a look at the format and some quick info about the teams.

The DreamLeague Minor: The Format

The eight teams have been split into two groups where each group plays a bo3 GSL format. The top two teams will be seeded into the upper bracket of the main event while the lower two teams will start the playoffs from the lower bracket.

Group A: The Replacements have a Replacement

Group A is stacked with team names that we know well, but the players on those teams are a pretty different bunch than what you'd have expected a year ago. Complexity feature a support EternalEnvy (for now). He initially was announced as five position for the team, but their games at ESL One Hamburg looked like he had moved into the four role. Sneyking won't mind giving up the offlane next - right? Infamous start the trend of the standins as they will be playing the Minor without an official five man roster (currently Scofield is listed as a sub). Up next, Vega Squadron is not only a substitute team, they have their own substitute player! Team Liquid pulled out of the minor with Vega as taking their spot as the next eligible team from EU. Originally Team Lithium, the Khezu and ex- Ad Finem stack, announced that Dendi will be joining them for the minor. This alone would be exciting news, but the rivalries that Dreamleague has in store do not stop there. Natus Vincere, the home of Dendi for almost his entire Dota career, will be attending the minor. They got seeded into the same group as the newly signed Vega, and their first match was up against Vega! No matter what happens, Dreamleague promises some interesting matches from the group stages all through the playoffs.

Group B: News Names come with High Potential

Group B has a few less "familiar" faces, but this doesn't mean we should expect any less from them. The fully Swedish Final Tribe has home court advantage while Tigers are coming hot off of a small LAN win in Jakarta. Royal Never Give Up features an experienced line-up of ex LFY, CDEC, and Invictus Gaming players all coached by Mikasa - the long time coach of Vici Gaming. The last team of Group B is team Rooons. BananaSlamJamma is making an appearance at a LAN, but not behind the analyst desk this time.
